The Bank of England (BoE) today (June 5) revealed it has created a new executive director position and appointed Andrew Hauser, its current director for markets strategy, to take up the role.

Hauser is heading the BoE's Fair and Effective Markets Review, an investigation into the functioning of fixed income, currency and commodity markets in the UK, which is due to make its final recommendations on June 10.
