Draghi flags up eurozone credit constraints
ECB president gives further indication of June policy move
The European Central Bank (ECB) could launch new measures to boost lending in the eurozone and tackle the credit constraints that are "putting a brake on the recovery in stressed countries" and adding to the disinflationary pressures in the eurozone, Mario Draghi said yesterday.
ECB president Draghi warned of "the potential for a negative spiral to take hold between low inflation, falling inflation expectations and credit" – particularly in the stressed eurozone countries – as he opened the ECB
