Cyprus gold still in play to help fund troika bailout

The Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC) may yet be called upon to sell gold from its reserves to contribute to the resolution of the country's banks and to shore up Cyprus' fiscal position, as part of the conditions attached to the rescue package put together by the ‘troika' of the European Central Bank, the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
