BIS warns central bank easing is fuelling equity markets

Recent monetary easing by the world's major central banks has helped "tune out" global growth "jitters" and fuel the recent upswing in equity markets, according to the Bank for International Settlements' (BIS) latest quarterly review.

The review, released today, said the additional monetary policy accommodation provided by the Bank of Japan (BoJ), European Central Bank and Federal Reserve in the past few months "spilled over" to financial markets around the world, and "lifted the main equity
