BoE’s Haldane debates banking reformation with Occupy

The Bank of England's Andrew Haldane said the United Kingdom is in the "throes of a financial reformation", in a speech to the Occupy movement, an activist group against social and economic inequality, in London yesterday (October 29).

Haldane, the central bank's executive director for financial stability, said Occupy was correct in its analysis of the global financial crisis. Deep and rising inequality was, he said, at the heart of it.
