China hints at policy adjustments to support economy


The People's Bank of China (PBoC) on August 5 posted a news release on its website about a forum held in Beijing on August 3–4, during which central bank officials promised to strengthen the fine-tuning of monetary policy in the second half of 2012.

Xinhua, the official Chinese news service, said the move indicated, "as many analysts believe, that more liquidity may be injected into the world's second largest economy" later this year.
