Bank of Namibia ‘inundated’ with scam complaints


The Bank of Namibia today (July 30) said it had been "inundated" by people expressing concerns about a number of "questionable business activities", including text messages that said the targeted person could claim a prize from the central bank.

In a statement, the central bank said such activities were "fraudulent and criminal", and that the bank was investigating the claims with a view to determining the correct course of action. Activities under investigation included "business concept
