Bank of Japan launches Twitter account
The Bank of Japan on Friday launched two Twitter accounts, one issuing updates in English and one in Japanese.
The central bank said the accounts would provide updates on when new information is released on its website. The central bank may also, "when necessary, as in cases of emergency, communicate its messages through these accounts".
The English account name is @Bank_of_Japan_e and the Japanese one is @Bank_of_Japan_j.
