Noyer blasts ratings agencies on Twitter
On Thursday the Banque de France's official Twitter page published a string of direct quotes from governor Christian Noyer. The comments were unusually direct and strongly-worded for the governor.
The quotes which were initially ‘tweeted' in French and then translated into English were from a newspaper interview Noyer had given to a French daily newspaper.
Noyer was particularly scathing of the situation in the UK. He said that bank lending "is collapsing" in the country, adding that it had a
