BIS Annual Report highlights action needed in key global economies


The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) on Sunday released its 81st Annual Report.

The 210-page report kept the majority of its comments general, with predominantly positive remarks about economic recovery and progress. However, some key global economies were highlighted as needing to take action.

The BIS questioned the lack of policy change in the United Kingdom given that CPI inflation had exceeded the Bank of England's 2% target since December 2009.
