Kosovo’s incarcerated governor hit with fresh charges


New charges were brought against Kosovo's central bank governor on Thursday following his arrest last Friday.

The new charges come after the special prosecutor over the weekend requested the governor to be detained in custody.

On Thursday the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (Eulex) said the Special Prosecutor's Office in Kosovo had expanded the investigation against Hashim Rexhep, the governor of the Central Bank of Kosovo, to include charges of abusing official position and
