Former HKMA head Yam set to join UBS board


UBS has nominated Joseph Yam, the former chief executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), for election to its board of directors.

Yam's exact responsibilities on the board will not be defined until his appointment is confirmed. However, UBS said his presence will expand the geographic diversity of the board in the Asia-Pacific region and assist the company through its transition to new regulatory requirements.
