ECB boosts transparency with new rules on ABS data

The European Central Bank (ECB) on Friday launched a process that will enhance the transparency of asset-backed securities.

The move will see the use of loan-level data on asset-backed securities (ABS), rather than aggregate data, which is used at present. Loan-level data will encompass information about the assets underlying securitisations.
