OECD hikes growth forecasts
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) more than doubled its forecast for growth in its 30 member states, saying on Thursday that it now expected growth in its members to reach 1.9% next year and 2.5% by 2011. In its June forecasts, the OECD said it was expecting to see growth of about 0.7% in its member countries next year.
