Fed presidents focus on commercial property fears


Senior Federal Reserve officials stepped up warnings about the looming threat posed by the commercial real-estate sector on Tuesday.

Both Dennis Lockhart, the president of the Atlanta Fed, and Janet Yellen, the president of the San Francisco Fed, cautioned that commercial property travails threatened the recovery of the US economy. Their comments follow similar warnings by William Dudley, the president of the New York Fed, early last month.
