New Japan government pledges to let central bank alone

Kohei Otsuka, the deputy finance spokesman for the new Democratic Party Government who previously worked for 17 years for the Bank of Japan, told Reuters, a news agency, on Wednesday that the new government was committed to working smoothly with the central bank.

The news comes a day after governor Masaaki Shirakawa met with incoming Democratic Party officials.
