Czech president approves potential replacements

Vaclav Klaus, the president of the Czech Republic, has said that two names suggested in the media as potential replacements for outgoing central bank deputy, Ludek Niedermayer, would be suitable candidates.

Klaus told aktualne.cz, a Czech newswire, that both Jiri Weigl, the head of the president's office, Vladimar Kolman, the Czech National Bank's head of human resources, would be adequate replacements for Niedermayer, who is to depart at the end of this month.
