BoJ Americas chief to take director-general role

Tadashi Nunami, the general manager for the Americas and chief representative at the Bank of Japan's New York office, will replace Toshio Idesawa as director-general of the central bank's international department.

Before moving to the New York office in 2005, Nunami served as the adviser to the governor on financial and payments systems. He has also worked as the chief representative at the central bank's Washington DC office and as the general manager of the Naha branch since joining the
