Fed's Guynn says deflation threat low

Atlanta Fed President Jack Guynn said Monday the risk of wholesale price declines in the U.S. economy is now much lower. He told reporters after making a speech that the threat of deflation has "declined immeasurably".

"It is certainly not the issue it was" Guynn told reporters after a speech on the U.S. economic outlook in Atlanta. Guynn is not currently a member of the Fed's interest rate setting Federal Open Market Committee.
