China to continue ‘moderately loose’ monetary policy in 2026
PBoC plans to work with other agencies in effort to boost consumption
China’s leadership has said monetary policy will remain “moderately loose” next year and that boosting domestic consumption is a core focus.
The People’s Bank of China (PBoC) issued a statement on December 12 after the country’s senior leaders met for the annual Central Economic Work Conference the day before. The conference set out plans for the country’s economic, financial and banking sectors over the coming year.
