The Reserve Bank of Australia 2003 conference, 'Asset Prices and Monetary Policy', will be held at the H.C. Coombs Centre for Financial Studies, in Sydney on 18 and 19 August 2003. The conference will focus on the implications of asset price booms for the setting of monetary policy. Speakers include Barry Eichengreen "Stock Market Volatility and Monetary Policy: What the Historical Record Shows" Charles Bean "Asset Prices, Financial Imbalances and Monetary Policy: Are Inflation Targets Enough?"
