Turkey continues cutting rates

The Central Bank of Turkey has voted to cut rates for the sixth straight month.

The central bank's monetary policy committee lowered the overnight borrowing rate by a quarter point to 15.25%, the second 25 basis point cut.

The benchmark lending rate fell by the same margin to 19.25%. In previous months, the central bank has cut both the benchmark and the late liquidity lending rates by 25 basis points more than borrowing rates.
