Villepin urges ECB dialogue with euro-zone states

French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin has called for a dialogue between the European Central Bank and the 12 euro zone countries to coordinate economic policies in the region.

In an article he wrote for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, Villepin said France and the 11 other euro zone states have developed a "stable and reliable currency: the euro"

"And despite this, our growth rate is lower than the United States or Asian states while our unemployment rate is still high. I
