Singapore warns on swine flu

Singapore's central bank said on Wednesday that swine flu will exacerbate the already severe downturn being felt by south-east Asia's most open economy.

As well as suffering blows to its financial sector as a result of the global crisis, Singapore now expects swine flu to hit tourism and the performance of Singapore Airlines, one of the city-state's most important companies.
