Quaden - Rates appropriate for foreseeable future

BELGIUM - The euro-zone economy has bottomed out and recovery should start in the second half of this year, with some countries seeing a rebound already in the second quarter, European Central Bank governing council member Guy Quaden said Tuesday.

"I have the feeling that the worst is over," said Quaden, who is also the head of the Belgian National Bank. "Indicators show that economic recovery will develop at least in the second part of this year."
