Moskow stresses importance of local economies

Chicago Federal Reserve President Michael Moskow spoke at a conference on Friday 29 October, but made no comments on the economic outlook or monetary policy.

In remarks at a "2004 Headquarters and Cities Agenda" conference sponsored by the Chicago Fed, Moskow said that although the Fed was best known for its national research and monetary policy decisions, it is also important for the Fed to understand the regional and local economies of the U.S.
