IMF says risk of 'disorderly' drop in dollar

A ``disorderly'' drop in the dollar is the biggest risk to world financial markets, the International Monetary Fund said Tuesday 12 September.

``If one or some combination of these risks materialize, financial markets could experience greater turbulence,'' said Jaime Caruana, director of the IMF's monetary and capital markets group. ``That places stress on international financial markets, possibly with a wider impact on the global economy,'' the former Spain central bank chief said at a press
