Mizuno says BOJ should shorten policy debate

Bank of Japan board member Atsushi Mizuno said in a speech the BOJ should not spend too much time debating over policy with the government or financial markets to avoid being "late" in shifting policy.

"I fully understand the importance of dialogue with markets and the government, but we should be careful to avoid being late with our timing on any policy change as a result of being responsible through time-consuming explanations," Mizuno said in a speech at the Japan Center for International
