Snow says G8 shares responsibility for imbalances

Group of Eight finance ministers believed global growth prospects remained strong but they shared a responsibility to reduce imbalances which threaten the outlook, U.S. Treasury Secretary John Snow said Saturday.

"The global economy remains strong and there are signs that the expansion will continue," Snow said in prepared remarks for release at a news conference concluding a two-day G-8 finance ministers' gathering.

"All countries, including the United States, but also the countries of Europe
