BOK to pursue flexible monetary policy

SOUTH KOREA - The Bank of Korea (BOK) will manage its monetary policy in a flexible manner, paying attention to its effect on the real economy, BOK governor Chon Chol-hwan said Thursday in a speech.

Delivering a speech to top executives at a Sejong University management course held in Seoul, he said that before the central bank put its monetary policy into action, it would take into consideration various factors that are affecting the Korean economy, such as the terrorist attacks on the U.S. and
