G7 set to discuss yuan exchange rate

A French official said on Friday 4 February the G7 meeting in London will "evidently address" the question of the Chinese yuan's exchange rate.

"It will evidently be addressed," French Finance Minister Herve Gaymard told French radio Friday, when asked whether the issue would come up.

China will be taking part in some of the talks of the G7 group, which includes the United States, Canada, Britain, Japan, Germany, France and Italy.
