Juncker says ECB 'pointing' to rate rise

Euro group president Jean-Claude Juncker said Monday 10 July the European Central Bank has been signalling that it will raise interest rates again before long.

Asked by reporters ahead of Monday evening's euro group meeting if he expects further monetary tightening soon, Juncker said that ECB president Jean-Claude Trichet has made several statements recently and 'they are pointing in the direction you are suggesting'.

And asked if this would push the euro higher, he said: 'I am not sure it would
