ECB's Wellink says euro economy good, rates low

European Central Bank governing council member Nout Wellink said on Tuesday 27 February that eurozone interest rates were still low but oil prices are clouding the inflation outlook.

"Interest rates are still low. There's no doubt about that," Wellink said to reporters after a speech in New York.

He added that the eurozone's economy is running "at full speed," making inflation a nagging concern, especially as crude oil prices keep climbing. The ECB is "closely monitoring these developments,"
