Report names likely Fed appointees

US president Bush administration is considering Larry A. Klane as a board member at the Federal Reserve, two people familiar with the matter were quoted as saying by MarketWatch.

Klane, who is president of Capital One Global Financial Services, would fill one of two vacant seats on the seven-seat Fed Board.

The White House is also seriously considering Virginia community banker Elizabeth "Betsy" A. Duke to fill the other open seat at the Fed Board, MarketWatch said.
