Iranian governor resigns
Gholam Hassein Elham, Iran's official government spokesperson, said that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, had accepted the resignation on Sunday 26 August.
Tahmasb Mazaheri, chairman of the state-owned Export Development Bank and a former minister of economic affairs and finance, is set to replace Sheibani as the new governor this week, according to the government-run Islamic Republic
