'Still low' says Mersch on ECB rates

Luxembourg central bank governor Yves Mersch said Wednesday 13 December the European Central Bank's interest rates are "still low".

Speaking at a news conference, Mersch said ECB monetary policy remains "accommodative".

Last Thursday, the ECB raised rates by a further 25 basis points to 3.50 pct.
