New Icelandic PM calls for the governors' heads

Iceland's new prime minister has asked the central bank's three governors to step down.

Johanna Sigurdardottir, Iceland's prime minister, told RUV, a state broadcaster, on Monday that she had penned a letter calling for the resignations of David Oddsson, the central bank's chairman and a former PM; Erikur Gudnason; and Ingimundur Fridriksson.

The PM said she would now advertise for one central bank head.
