Ukraine central banker upholds currency stability

Serhiy Tyhypko has said the central bank will work to maintain a stable exchange rate for the hryvnya, the Ukrainian currency, and wont submit to the demands of exporters.

Stability of the national currency remains the Ukrainian National Bank's key task, the bank's chief Serhiy Tyhypko said during a meeting at the bank's regional department in Lviv.
