Argentina won't pay IMF without accord revisions

President Nestor Kirchner said on Wednesday 11 February that the Argentine government would not use its reserves to make its next instalment of payments due to the IMF unless it first approves revisions to the accord.

Kirchner said on Wednesday afternoon that "if no prior announcement by the Fund's board of the approval" is made; Argentina will not use its monetary reserves to pay the $3.1 billion bill coming due to the International Monetary Fund on March 9.
