Bank of Japan leaves monetary policy unchanged

The Bank of Japan said on Friday 12 September at the end of its two-day meeting, that it would leave monetary policy unchanged. The BoJ said in a three-paragraph statement that the central bank will "conduct money market operations, aiming at the outstanding balance of current accounts held at the bank at around 27 to 30 trln yen."

The Bank of Japan said its nine-member policy board has decided by a majority vote to leave monetary policy unchanged after a two-day meeting.
