Montenegro to introduce two-currency system

YUGOSLAVIA - The Montenegrin government will introduce a two-currency system in the republic, including the German mark and the euro, on January 1, 2002.

The two currencies will be in parallel use until March 31, 2002, when the German mark will be withdrawn from circulation. The German marks will be exchanged into euro until the end of June 2002.
