Bundesbank says eurozone not hurt by weak dollar

The Bundesbank said on Monday 16 February that economic recovery in the eurozone has not been harmed by the weak dollar, with increasing global demand more than compensating for it.

"In view of lively and better-than-expected global developments, the decline in the value of the dollar has not so far disturbed the expansion process in the euro area," the German central bank wrote in its February monthly report.

"The external impulses for economic recovery remain intact."
