BIS warns over fake website

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) on Tuesday warned that its name and logo were being used in scams to defraud the public with offers of consumer banking services.

The BIS is a central bank to the world's central banks. Its functions are purely official and it offers no services to private individuals or companies. "The BIS strongly cautions the public against sending money or disclosing bank or credit card details to any person who claims to represent the BIS or to have a banking
