MPs to increase SA Reserve Bank's accountability

SOUTH AFRICA - Parliament's finance committee is to investigate ways to formalise and strengthen the accountability of the SA Reserve Bank to the legislature, Business Day reported.

The ruling African National Congress and opposition representatives on the committee will travel to Washington and London at the end of the month to have talks with key people in those cities on the nature of the relationship between central banks and legislatures.
