Euro critical when Issing goes missing?

Sunday 14 May's Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung contained a portrait of ECB chief economist Otmar Issing under the headline "The preacher". Without Issing the euro could weaken considerably, it said.

"The preacher" tag apparently refers to a cartoon (sent to Mr Issing from Ireland) depicting an Irish monk called Kilian who was beaten to death in Mr Issing's hometown of Wurzburg and subsequently became a saint.

Issing doesn't mind being described as a preacher, the article says, but does not
