The success of the interactive conference - expected to conclude later on 26 June - may mean that the World Bank holds more online conferences.
Already about 1,800 people from 90 countries have registered at the conference, asking about 200 questions, compared with the estimated 200 people who had been expected to travel to Barcelona to the meeting.
