Canadian deputy resigns

Sheryl Kennedy, a deputy governor at the Bank of Canada, is to leave the central bank next week.

Kennedy, one of four deputy governors, will step down on 1 December to pursue other interests.

She has been a deputy governor at the central bank for 14 years.
