Taiwan central bank denies extraordinary meeting

The Central Bank of China, Taiwan's central bank, denied on Thursday 11 August that it is planning to call an extraordinary board meeting in the near term.

Reports saying that a meeting is imminent are not true, it said in a statement.

Any changes to the bank's monetary policy are made at its regular board meetings, it added.
