Kohn says economy not strong enough to boost jobs

Fed Governor Donald Kohn said Wednesday 24 September "it will be a while before we can be sure that a self-sustaining expansion is underway of sufficient strength and persistence to put the economy back on a path toward full employment".

It will take some time to see if the U.S. economy will strengthen enough to boost a slack labor market, said Federal Reserve Governor Donald Kohn on Wednesday night, hinting interest rates won't be moving up soon.
