Greenspan O'Neill to testify on financial literacy

US - Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan, Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill, and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Harvey Pitt will testify in Congress early next month on efforts to promote financial literacy, the Senate Banking Committee said on Tuesday.

The regulators will appear on the first of two days of hearings -- scheduled for 5-6 February as the committee seeks to construct a "national strategy to promote financial literacy and education," Banking Committee Chairman Paul
